A message from Whistler

Thursday, February 26th, 2009
OH MY GOD! We’ve had almost 1m of snow in the last 3 days, approx 30cm overnight last night which happens to be the night my Preachers arrive. So 1st day on them today is a powder day, skied the most insane lines through the tree’s all day long, eventually had to work my way back onto the piste to get back to the lift and these ski’s are insane. I’ve got the 189cm Preachers and they turn as good as my Movement Yaka Jams which are only 85mm under foot. I can’t believe how easy they were to use and how great they floated in the pow. I’ve seriously had the best days skiing of my entire life, this is why I came to Whistler, I’ve waited 2 long months for today to come but now its here I’m so stoked! Its still snowing and I’m out on the mountain again tomorrow, bring it on, I’m gonna go huck some cliffs to celebrate!!!!

Thanks very much mother nature, and thanks White Dot Freeride!!!

You’re very welcome Ben. (thats from WDF not mother nature)

New Arrivals To The WD.Famile

Sunday, February 15th, 2009

We’ve just signed up Mayrhofen local Mani Eder  to the WD European Team. Mani caught our attention at the Austrian Freeski Open with his effortless smooth style and fearless attack of the slopestyle course! Coupled with a huge amount of natural talent we’re stoked to welcome him to the team and feel sure he’ll be a skiier to watch on the European competition scene next year.

Also this month Ally Watson joins the WD International Team. Ally joins us for testing this year, and we’ll be welcoming his feedback on the “One” and “Redeemer” models in time for the 2009/10 season. Ally’s blend of BC Freestyle and technical feedback will sit nicely within WhiteDot, you can see more of his skiing at  myspace.com/allywatson_

WhiteDot’s first industry reviews. The Preacher and the One.

Massive thanks to Eric from Exotic skis. We’re stoked you liked the Preachers and the Ones soo much.An extract from the review on the Preachers on Exotic skis“The Preacher loved powder and was silky and responsive as you would ever want. You could adjust your depth in the soft stuff at will, and adjust turn radii with no effort at all, point them where you want them to go…they go.  Quick turns and carving grip on the hardpack was impressive for a ski with 150mm tip and 112mm underfoot”
